Erox CV Dispersible Tablets (Amoxicillin + Potassium clavulanate)

  • Amoxicillin 200 mg and Potassium clavulanate IP (as potassium clavulanate diluted IP) equivalent to clavulanic acid 28.5 mg.
  • Indicated For the treatment of lower respiratory tract infection, otitis media, sinusitis, skin and skin structure infections and urinary tract infection.
  • Amoxicillin is semisynthetic penicillin (beta-lactam antibiotic) that inhibits enzymesin the biosynthetic pathway of bacterial peptidoglycan, which is an integral structural component of the bacterial cell wall. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactam structurally related to penicillins. It inactivates some beta-lactamase enzymes thereby preventing inactivation of amoxicillin.
  • 2 - 6 years (13 - 21 kg):45/6.4 mg/kg/day, 10.0 ml EroxCV DT suspension 228 mg/5 ml twice daily.
  • Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients.Contraindicated in patients with a history of allergic reactions to any penicillin. It is also contraindicated in patients with a previous history of cholestatic jaundice/hepatic dysfunction
  • periodic assessment of organ system functions, including renal, hepatic, and hematopoietic function, is advisable during prolonged therapy. The possibility of superinfections with mycotic or bacterial pathogens should be kept in mind during therapy.
  • There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in human pregnancy and lactation. This product should only be used in pregnancy if considered essential by the physician.
  • Concomitant use of probenecid may result in increased and prolonged blood levels of amoxicillin.
  • The most commonly reported adverse drug reactions (ADRs) are diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting.
  • Anti-Bacterials
