Bucay (Oil from heart wood of Cedrus deodara , Extract of Rhizome of Curcuma )

• Composition :
  Oil from heart wood of Cedrusdeodara 5% w/v, Extract of Rhizome of Curcuma longa 5% w/v, Tankanamla (Boric Acid) 5% w/w, Gandhaka (Sulphur)5% w/w, Fruit of Capsicum annuum (cayenne fruit)0.05% w/v, Oil from Root of Burdock (Arctiumlappa) 6% w/v, Golden seal extract (Hydrastis Canadensis) 5% w/w
• Indications :
  For the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections viz. abrasions, incisions, lacerations, avulsions and other wounds including Diabetic ulcers
• Pharmacodynamics :
  Oil from heart of Cedar wood oil has Antiseptic, astringent, insecticidal, fungicidal activity. Extract of Rhizome of Curcuma longa has anti-bacterial, anti –inflammatory actions, antioxidant activity. Tankanamla (Boric Acid) has germicidal and antibacterial effect. Gandhaka is a natural antiseptic. Has a role in production of collagen, anti-inflammatory action.Fruit of Capsicum annum depletes substantial pain from sensory nerves in affected areas, dilates arteries and restores critical blood circulation. Oil from root of Burdock has effect on cell adhesion and gene expression promotes wound healing. Golden seal extract has antibacterial activity, Quorum Quenching activity against MRSA
• Dosage and administration :
  Apply ointment over the affected wounds 1-2 times daily
• Contraindications :
  Hypersensitivity to the drug or any other excipients of the formulation
• Precautions and warnings :
  Avoid contact with the eyes, should be stopped and if severe itching, or rash occurs
• Adverse reactions :
  There are few reports of mild irritation at the site of application
