For mydriasis and cycloplegia in diagnostic procedures.
Tropicamide is an anticholinergic drug, having mydriatic and some cycloplegic activity. Phenylephrine is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist which dilates the pupil.
Instill 1-2 drops as required.
Hypersensitivity to drug or its components.Pediatric patients less than 1 year of age due to increased risk of systemic toxicity. Patients with hypertension, or thyrotoxicosis.
Serious cardiovascular reactions are reported. Significant elevations in blood pressure: Caution in pediatric patients less than 5 years of age and in hyperthyroidism.
There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, nursing woman.Pediatric patients less than 1 year of age due to increased risk of systemic toxicity contraindicated.

May exaggerate the adrenergic pressor response of atropine like drugs. May potentiate cardiovascular depressant action of inhalational anesthetic agents.
