Travo Eye Drops (Travoprost)

  • Travoprost 0.004% eye drops.
  • :Indicated in the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.
  • Travoprost free acid, a prostaglandin analog is a selective FP prostanoid receptor agonist which is believed to reduce intraocular pressure by increasing uveoscleral outflow.
  • The recommended dosage is one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening.
  • Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients
  • Pigmentation: Pigmentation of the iris, periorbital tissue (eyelid) and eyelashes can occur. Iris pigmentation likely to be permanent, Eyelash Changes: Gradual change to eyelashes including increased length, thickness and number of lashes. Usually reversible.
  • There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, nursing woman.This product should only be used in pregnancy if considered essential by the physician. Use in pediatric patients below the age of 16 years is not recommended because of potential safety concerns related to increased pigmentation following long-term chronic use.
  • No interaction studies have been performed
  • The most frequently reported adverse experiences are ocular hyperemia, decreased visual acuity, eye discomfort, foreign body sensation, pain, pruritusabnormal vision, blepharitis, blurred vision, cataract, conjunctivitis, corneal staining, dry eye, iris discoloration, keratitis, lid margin crusting, ocular inflammation, photophobia, sub-conjunctival hemorrhage, watering.
