Folfit Tablets (Folic acid + Methylcobalamim + Pyridoxine)

• Composition :
  Each tablet contains Methylcobalamin 1500mcg + Pyridoxine 20mg + Folic acid 5mg.
• Indications :
  Indicated for neuropathy and CVD.
• Pharmacodynamics :
  Methylcobalamin is a Neurotropic and acts as a growth promoter for nerve cells. Pyridoxine acts as coenzymes for various metabolic functions affecting protein, carbohydrate, and lipid utilization Folic acid is an essential cofactor for enzymes involved in DNA and RNA synthesis. More specifically, folic acid is required by the body for the synthesis of purines, pyrimidines, and methionine before incorporation into DNA or protein.
• Dosage and administration :
  One tablet once daily.
• Contraindications :
  Known hypersensitivity to any of the active constituents.
• Precautions and warnings :
  Caution should be used in patients undergoing angioplasty, folic acid, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12 taken daily after coronary stenting, might actually increase restenosis rates.
• Use in pregnancy, lactation & pediatrics :
  There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in human pregnancy, lactation and pediatrics.
• Drug interactions :
  Folic acid: Chloramphenicol may antagonize some effects of folic acid (haematopoietic system).
• Adverse reactions :
  Mild transient diarrhea, polycythemia vera, itching, transitory exanthema has been associated with methylcobalamin.
