Dolopar Tablets (Paracetamol + Caffiene)

  • Each tablet contains Paracetamol 500 mg and Caffeine 25 mg.
  • For body pain and fever.
  • Paracetamol is a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic agent. Paracetamol does not possess any anti-inflammatory action. Paracetamol appears to produce analgesia by elevation of the pain threshold. Caffeine has an adjuvant action due to inhibition of transmission of pain signal. Stimulation of neuronal activity resulting in reduced pain sensation. Regulation of vascular tone.
  • One-Two tablets not more frequently than every 4-6 hours when necessary to a maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours.
  • Hypersensitivity to paracetamol, caffeine or any of the other constituents. Severe and active hepatic impairment.
  • Paracetamol should be given with care to patients with impaired kidney or liver function. Large doses should be avoided in patients with hepatic impairment. Paracetamol overdose may harm the liver. Maximum recommended daily dose of paracetamol should not be exceeded.
  • Not recommended during pregnancy and nursing. Not recommended in children under 12 years.
  • The hepatotoxicity of Paracetamol, particularly after overdosage, may be increased by drugs which induce liver microsomal enzymes such as barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants and alcohol. The anticoagulant effect of warfarin and other coumarins may be enhanced by prolonged regular use of paracetamol with increased risk of bleeding; occasional doses have no significant effect.
  • Adverse effects of paracetamol are rare and usually mild; the most common adverse effects are nausea, vomiting, headache, nervousness and insomnia.
