Dolopar Drops (Paracetamol)

  • Paracetamol 100mg/ml Drops.
  • Analgesic and antipyretic
  • Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic. Its mechanism of action is believed to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis, primarily within the central nervous system.

    Maximum daily dosage is 60 mg/kg - to be administered in divided doses of 10-15
    mg/kg throughout the 24-hour period. Do not take frequently than every 4 hours. Dosing to be done based on body weight of the child. Do not exceed the stated dose. For Children under 1 month: Not Recommended. For children under 3 months: If fever persists for longer than 24 hours, (4 doses) seek medical advice. This is to ensure that fever associated with any serious infection is quickly diagnosed.
  • Hypersensitivity to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients/components of the product, severe and active hepatic impairment.
  • Do not use with any other products-containing products as it may lead to overdose. Paracetamol should be given with care to patients with impaired renal or hepatic function. Large doses should be avoided in patients with hepatic impairment as overdose may harm the liver. Maximum recommended daily dose of paracetamol should not be exceeded
  • The anticoagulant effect of warfarin and other coumarins may be enhanced by prolonged regular daily use of paracetamol with increased risk of bleeding; occasional doses have no significant effect.
  • Adverse effects of paracetamol are rare and usually mild, although hematological reactions have been reported. Skin rashes and other hypersensitivity reactions occur occasionally.
