Epitane Eye Drops (Epinastine Hydrochloride)

• Composition :
  Epinastine Hydrochloride 0.05% Eye Drops.
• Indications :
  Indicated for the management of allergic conjunctivitis.
• Pharmacodynamics :
  Epinastine is a topically active, direct H1-receptor antagonist and an inhibitor of the release of histamine from the mast cell. Epinastine is selective for the histamine H1-receptor and has affinity for the histamine H2- receptor. Epinastine also possesses affinity for the α1, α 2-, and 5-HT2–receptors.
• Dosage and administration :
  One drop in each eye twice a day.
• Precautions and warnings :
  : For topical ophthalmic use only. Should not be used to treat contact lens-related irritation.Remove contact lenses prior to instillation.
• Use in pregnancy, lactation & pediatrics :
  Pregnancy Category C. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnancy, lactation and pediatric population. This product should only be used in pregnancy if considered essential by the doctor.

• Adverse reactions :
  Burning sensation in the eye, folliculosis, hyperemia, and pruritus, cold symptoms and upper respiratory infections.
