Dolo 250 suspension (Paracetamol)

  • Paracetamol 250mg/5 ml Suspension.
  • Analgesic and antipyretic
  • Paracetamol is a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic agent. Paracetamol does not possess any anti-inflammatory action. Paracetamol appears to produce analgesia by elevation of the pain threshold.
  • 10 - 15 mg/kg throughout the 24-hour period. Minimum dosing interval: 4 hours. No more than four doses in any 24-hour period.

    • Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period.
    • Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
    • Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
  • Hypersensitivity to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients/components of the product and in patients with severe or active hepatic impairment.
  • Do not use with any other products-containing products as it may lead to overdose. Underlying liver disease increases the risk of paracetamol related liver damage. Maximum recommended daily dose of paracetamol should not be exceeded. Not to be given with any other paracetamol-containing products.
  • The anticoagulant effect of warfarin and other coumarins may be enhanced by prolonged regular daily use of paracetamol with increased risk of bleeding; occasional doses have no significant effect.
  • Adverse effects of paracetamol are rare and usually mild, although hematological reactions have been reported. Skin rashes and other hypersensitivity reactions occur occasionally.
