Each tablet contains Calcium Aspartate 1120 mg + Calcitriol 0.25 mcg + Mecobalamin 1500 mcg + Magnesium 50 mg + Zinc 7.5 mg + Vitamin K27 45 mcg + L - Methyl folate 1 mg + Pyridoxal -5 - Phosphate 0.5 mg
For the treatment of calcium and Vitamin D deficiency states.
Osteoblasts produce osteocalcin, which helps take calcium from the blood circulation and bind it to the bone matrix . osteocalcin, however, is inactive, and it needs vitamin K2 to become fully activated and bind calcium.Calcium prevents bone loss in postmenopausal women.Calcitriol stimulates intestinal absorption of Calcium. It directly inhibits Parathyroid hormone (PTH) secretion.
One tablet once a day.
It should not be given to patients with hypercalcaemia and to those with the evidence of vitamin D toxicity and patients who are hypersensitiveto any ingredient.
Serum calcium should be determined periodically at regular intervals,Excessive intake of Zinc may lead to overdosage symptoms like nausea, severe vomiting, dehydration, restlessness and sideroblastic anaemia. Should be avoided in patients on digitalis because hypercalcaemia in such patients may precipitate cardiac arrhythmias
Safety and efficacy of this combination is not established in this population
Cholestyramine may impair intestinal absorption of Calcitriol, Concomitant administration of thiazides with Calcitriol may causehypercalcaemia, Concomitant use of Calcitriol with digitalis may increase the risk of cardiac arrhythmias.Drug interaction reported with Ceftriaxone, Quinolone, tetracycline, Bisphosphonate, Lithium, Verapamil, Levothyroxine.
Most common adverse events are headache, somnolence, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, constipation, muscle pain, bone pain, and metallic taste.
