Nilac- A Gel (Clindamycin Phosphate + Adapalene )

  • Clindamycin Phosphate 1%w/w + Adapalene 0.1% w/w
  • For treatment of acne vulgaris.
  • Clindamycin inhibits protein synthesis of bacteria by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunits of the bacteria. Adapalene is a modulator of cellular differentiation, keratinization, and inflammatory processes.
  • Apply a thin layer onto affected area twice daily
  • Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any other excipients of the formulation. a history of regional enteritis or ulcerative colitis, or a history of antibiotic associated colitis.
  • Avoid exposure to sunlight, Avoid contact with eyes, lips and mucous membranes. Caution should be exercised in atopic individuals. Caution should be exercised when using preparations containing sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid
  • Should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. Safety and effectiveness in nursing woman has not been established and pediatric patients have not been established under the age of 12 years. Hence caution should be exercised.
  • Clindamycin may enhance the action of other neuromuscular blocking agents, Cholinergics and Erythromycin: Antagonism, hence should be used with caution, concomitant use of other potentially irritating topical products (medicated or abrasive soaps and cleansers, soaps and cosmetics that have a strong drying effect.
  • The most common adverse reactions are skin dryness, erythema, skin discomfort, pruritus, burning, itching.
