Neurocetam Plus Tablets (Citicoline sodium + Piracetam ).

• Composition :
  Each Neurocetam Plus tablet contains Piracetam 800 mg and Citicoline sodium 500 mg.
• Indications :
  For the treatment of acute stroke.
• Pharmacodynamics :
  Piracetam binds physically in a dose-dependent manner to the polar head of phospholipids membrane models, inducing the restoration of the membrane lamellar structure characterized by the formation of mobile drug-phospholipid complexes. • Dosage and administration :
  One tablet, three times daily
• Contraindications :
  Hypersensitivity to active ingredients, end-stage renal disease, cerebral hemorrhage and Huntington's chorea.
• Precautions and warnings :
  Caution is recommended in patients with severe haemorrhage, patients at risk of bleeding, care should be taken in cases of renal insufficiency, avoid abrupt discontinuation, caution should be exercised by patients who are on a controlled sodium diet. Large doses of Citicoline could aggravate increase in cerebral blood flow in episodes of persistent intracranial hemorrhage.
• Use in pregnancy, lactation & pediatrics :
  There are no adequate and well-controlled studies during pregnancy. Excreted in human breast milk. Therefore, should not be used during breastfeeding or breastfeeding should be discontinued.
• Drug interactions :
  May increase prothrombin time in patients who are on warfarin, concomitant administration with thyroid extract may cause confusion, irritability and sleep disorder, minor inhibitory effects on CYP 2A6 and 3A4/5 can occur. Must not be used with drugs containing meclophenoxate. May enhance the effects of levodopa, carbidopa and entacapone.
• Adverse reactions :
