Bisolong tablets (Bisoprolol)

  • Each tablet contains Bisoprolol 2.5/5 mg
  • Hypertension, coronary heart disease (angina pectoris), congestive heart failure (CHF).
  • Bisoprolol is a synthetic, beta1-selective (cardioselective) adrenoceptor blocking agent. Bisoprolol reduces the oxygen consumption of myocardial cells. B1 receptors are also present in the juxtaglomerular cells. By blocking these receptors, Bisoprolol leads to a decrease in the release of renin; as a result, it blocks the activation of the renin-angiotensin system
  • One tablet a day.
  • Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients.cardiogenic shock, overt cardiac failure, second or third degree AV block, and markedsinus bradycardia.
  • Beta-blockers can precipitate or aggravate symptoms of arterial insufficiency in patients with peripheral vascular disease. Patients with bronchospastic disease should, in general, not receive beta-blockers.Beta-blockers may mask some of the manifestations of hypoglycemia, particularly tachycardia.Exacerbation of angina pectoris, and, in some instances, myocardial infarction or ventricular arrhythmia, have been observed inpatients with coronary artery disease following abrupt cessation of therapy with beta-blockers
  • Category C. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. It is not known whetherthis drug is excreted in human milk. Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established
  • should not be combined with other beta-blocking agents.Patients receiving catecholamine-depleting drugs, such as reserpine or guanethidine, should be closely monitored.Digitalis glycosides, rifampin should be monitored.
  • Bradycardia, diarrhea, asthenia, fatigue, sinusitis appear to be dose related.
  • Anti-Hypertensives
