Derminol Cream (Beclomethasone Dipropionate + Clotrimazole + Neomycin)

• Composition :
  Beclomethasone 0.025% + Clotrimazole 1% w/w + Neomycin 0.5% w/w cream.
• Indications :
  For the topical treatment of bacterial and fungal infections.
• Pharmacodynamics :
  Clotrimazole exerts antifungal effects by inhibition of fungal sterol synthesis. It inhibits the conversion of Lanosterol to 14 demethyl Lanosterol by inhibiting the cytochromeP450 enzyme 14 alpha demethylase and impair ergosterol synthesis which is an essential constituent of cell membrane. Neomycin aminoglycoside cause protein synthesis inhibition by "irreversibly" bind to specific 30S-subunit proteins and 16S rRNA. Beclomethasone control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting the release of their common precursor, arachidonic acid..
• Dosage and administration :
  apply 1 finger unit of cream 2 - 3 times daily .
• Contraindications :
  Contraindicated in patients who have shown hypersensitivity to the drug. Use in pediatric patients under 12 years of age is not recommended.
• Precautions and warnings :
  Avoid contact with eyes and oral cavity.
• Use in pregnancy, lactation & pediatrics :
  There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in human pregnancy, lactation and children. Safety and effectiveness of Cream is not established in pregnancy, lactation and in pediatric patients.
• Drug interactions :
  There are no known drug interactions with topical Derminol cream.
• Adverse reactions :
  The most frequently reported events are Irritation, Itching, Redness, Stinging sensations, Burning sensations.
