Amlozaar-H Tablets (Amlodipine + Losartan + Hydrochlorothiazide)

• Composition :
  Each tablet contains Losartan 50mg+Amlodipine 5mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg.
• Indications :
  For treatment of hypertension in patients who are not controlled with the dual drug therapy.
• Pharmacodynamics :
  Amlodipine is a calcium ion influx inhibitor of the dihydropyridine group (slow channel blocker or calcium ion antagonist) and inhibits the transmembrane influx of calcium ions into cardiac and vascular smooth muscle. Losartan is an angiotensin-receptor blocker (ARB) that may be used alone or with other agents to treat hypertension. Hydrochlorothiazide affects the distal renal tubular mechanism of electrolyte reabsorption.
• Dosage and administration :
  One tablet once a day in the morning.
• Contraindications :
  Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Avoid use in Pregnancy.Coadministration with aliskiren in patients with diabetes
• Precautions and warnings :
  Hypotension, Renal Impairment: Need to monitor renal function and potassium in susceptible patients. Hydrochlorothiazide can cause hypokalemia,hyponatremia,Acute Myopia and Secondary Angle-Closure Glaucoma.. Avoid concomitant use of an ACE inhibitor and angiotensin receptorblocker,
• Use in pregnancy, lactation & pediatrics :
  Teratogenic Effects, Pregnancy Categories C (first trimester) and D (second and third trimesters).Discontinue the tablet as soon aspregnancy is detected, There are no adequate and well-controlled studies inlactation and children.
• Drug interactions :
  Monitoring of the serum digoxin and lithium is recommended.Dual inhibition of the renin-angiotensin system: Increased risk of renal impairment, hypotension, syncope, and hyperkalemia. Hydrochlorthiazide: Co-administration of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, including a selective COX-2inhibitor can reduce its antihypertensive effect

  The most commonly reported adverse events are headache, peripheral edema,fatigue, nausea,myalgia, abdominal pain,somnolence. dizziness, upper respiratory infection, nasal congestion,and back pain
