Phytoral Bar (Ketoconazole + Triclosan)

• Composition :
  Ketoconazole 2% + Triclosan0.3%
• Indications :
  For the topical treatment of tinea corporis, tinea cruris and tinea pedis caused by Trichophyton rubrum, T. mentagrophytes and Epidermophyton floccosum, cutaneous candidiasis
• Pharmacodynamics :
  ketoconazole helps with the disruption in production of ergosterol, which is an essential component of fungal cell membranes disrupts the fungal cell membrane.
• Dosage and administration :
  Wet skin thoroughly with water.Apply sufficient soap to produce enough lather gently massage it over the skin and leave for 3 before rinsing thoroughly.
• Contraindications :
  contraindicated in patients who have known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or excipients of this formulation.
• Precautions and warnings :
  may be irritating to mucous membranes of the eyes and contact with this area should be avoided. If it does get into the eyes, they should be bathed gently with cold water.
• Use in pregnancy, lactation & pediatrics :
  There are no adequate and well controlled trials in pregnant women. should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
• Drug interactions :
  Phytoral bar is meant for topical application and thus the interaction with other medicines taken orally are unlikely.
• Adverse reactions :
  Excessive application may result in itching, burning sensation, redness of the skin
