Phytoral B Cream (Keoconazole + Beclomethasone)

• Composition :
  Ketoconazole 2% + Beclomethasone dipropionate 0.025%, 15 gm Cream
• Indications :
  For the topical treatment of systemic fungal infections, candidiasis, chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis, vaginal candidiasis, oral rush candiduria
• Pharmacodynamics :
  ketoconazole helps with the disruption in production of ergosterol, which is an essential component of fungal cell membranes disrupts the fungal cell membrane. beclomethasone dipropionate has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and vasoconstrictive actions.
• Dosage and administration :
  Clean and dry the affected areas thoroughly before application.Apply sufficient quantity of cream to the affected skin areas twice daily. If no improvement is seen within 2 weeks, reassessment of the diagnosis may be necessary.
• Contraindications :
  contraindicated in patients who have known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or excipients of this formulation.
• Precautions and warnings :
  Can cause local irritation at the application site. If irritation occurs or if the disease worsens, use of the medication should be discontinued. Systemic absorption of topical corticosteroids can produce reversible hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression, with the potential for glucocorticoid insufficiency after withdrawal of treatment. Manifestations of Cushing's syndrome, hyperglycaemia and glucosuria can also be produced in some patients by the systemic absorption of topical corticosteroids while on treatment.
• Use in pregnancy, lactation & pediatrics :
  There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant and nursing women.Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
