Turbovas Gold Capsules (Rosuvastatin+ Clopidogrel+ Aspirin )

  • Each capsule contains Rosuvastatin 10 mg + Clopidogrel 75 mg + Aspirin 75 mg.
  • It is indicated for the secondary prevention of acute coronary syndrome and ischemic stroke.
  • Rosuvastatin is an inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of HMG-CoA to mevalonate, an early and rate-limiting step in cholesterol biosynthesis. Clopidogrel is an inhibitor of platelet activation and aggregation through the irreversible binding of its active metabolite to the P2Y12 class of ADP receptors on platelets. Aspirin blocks the platelet cyclooxygenase by acetylation and inhibits thromboxane A2 synthesis, a physiological activating substance released by the platelets.
  • Once daily, orally after food.
  • Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients, bleeding tendencies. Pregnant and nursing women, active liver disease.
  • Skeletal muscle effects (e.g., myopathy and rhabdomyolysis). Monitor liver enzymes before and during treatment. Increases in HbA1c and fasting serum glucose levels have been reported with HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, including Rosuvastatin. CYP2C19 inhibitors: Avoid concomitant use of omeprazole or esomeprazole Aspirin increases the risk of bleeding. Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) including fatal cases have been reported. Premature discontinuation increases risk of cardiovascular events.
  • There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in human pregnancy, lactation & children. This product should only be used in pregnancy if considered essential by the physician.
  • Following drug interact with Rosuvastatin, caution to be taken with cyclosporine, gemfibrozil, lopinavir/ritonavir or atazanavir/ritonavir, coumarin anticoagulants and fibrates. Opioids decreases exposure to clopidogrel. Clopidogrel can increase the systemic exposure to drugs that are primarily cleared by CYP2C8, thereby needing dose adjustment and appropriate monitoring. Aspirin increases the risk of bleeding. Aspirin with Anticoagulant and anti-platelets: Increased risk of bleeding.
  • The most commonly reported adverse events are headache, myalgia, abdominal pain, asthenia, and nausea.
  • Lipid Lowering agents
