Pantotab Enteric Coated Tablets (Pantoprazole ).

• Composition :
  Each tablet contains pantoprazole 40mg.
• Indications :
  For the treatment of gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer & gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
• Pharmacodynamics :
  Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that suppresses the final step in gastric acid production by covalently binding to the (H+, K+)-ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell.
• Dosage and administration :
  40 mg once daily in the morning 30-60minutes before breakfast.
• Contraindications :
  The use of this product is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
• Precautions and warnings :
  Atrophic gastritis has been noted with long-term therapy. Bone Fracture: Long-term and multiple daily dose PPI therapy may be associated with an increased risk for osteoporosis-related fractures of the hip, wrist or spine.
• Use in pregnancy, lactation & pediatrics :
  There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in human pregnancy, lactation and infants. This product should only be used in pregnancy if considered essential by the physician. The safety and effectiveness for pediatric uses other than Erosive Esophagitis have not been established.
• Drug interactions :
  Concomitant warfarin use may require monitoring.
• Adverse reactions :
  The most frequent side-effects are headache, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, flatulence, dizziness, and arthralgia.
