For the treatment of smooth muscle spasm of gastro intestinal tract & Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Fenoverine exerts its action by inhibiting calcium ion (Ca+2) channels. This will inhibit the rapid influx of (Ca+2) through the voltage dependent channels and also inhibits the release of Ca+2 from the storage site. Thus Fenoverine effectively synchronizes the strong asynchronous spasmodic contractions, relieving the spasm and the associated symptoms.
